Well, Land of Promise is well underway. I've let a few close friends and my writer's group have a glimpse of the new book. I've been pleasantly surprised as the story progresses. Characters that I've never met or thought of (so to speak...) just pop up on the pages and I am going along for the ride. I've discovered some secrets that the characters have and have seen a different side of some of the characters as well.
As much as my daughter can't stand Ian O'Donnell, she was moved for a (brief) moment in a scene between Andrew and Ian. I've gotten to the point now where the words do seem to flow, so I have to answer the call of the characters and make haste to my laptop when they do. Roughly 40 pages done, probably 200 more to go. Write me! Michelle_Andrews@childof compromise.com Maybe I'll give you a sneak peek of the next book!

Hello, my name is Michelle and I am the author of Child of Compromise and Land of Promise. I have been writing for many years and actually had the idea for the McKennas while I was pregnant with my oldest daughter who is now 17. I wrote it in a fairly short period of time, and used to tease my mom by reading bits and pieces as I wrote them. I'd leave her in mid-sentence sometimes, which would drive her crazy....
Once I finished it, i was encouraged by many to have it published, but the restrictions to submit it were daunting. Many times I had to submit a one page summary of the story. That's like trying to tell someone what your child is like, using only 20 words... tough to do the child justice. So, it sat in my desk drawer for 16 years. I pulled it out last year, dusted it off and found it a home. I hope you enjoy reading it and getting to know the McKennas as much as I enjoyed telling their story. Thanks again!      Michelle
